IvoSmile is a powerful communication and consultation tool for dental professionals. It offers the possibility of giving patients a very lifelike preview of the proposed esthetic outcome before any plans are made or the treatment is carried out. Reduce your treatment time and expense and swiftly present the envisaged result directly on the patient in live mode. The app features augmented reality technology to give patients an impression of their own face showing their new smile in the “virtual mirror” of an Apple iPad (recommended) or iPhone. Pictures speak for themselves: As a result, dentists have less explaining to do, patients can make an informed decision and laboratories know exactly what to do! Offer your patients the possibility of actively determining the treatment outcome. Real-time 3D visualization allows the patient to compare before-and-after pictures. Dentist and dental technician – a well-honed team: The app creates new synergies in the shared treatment and care of your patients. It allows the dentist to send images of the patient including the proposed treatment outcome to the dental lab by e.g. 3Shape Communicate or email. The IvoSmile add-on (available from Ivoclar Vivadent and 3Shape dealers) enables the dental lab to import patient images including the proposed design of their dentist in the 3Shape Dental System. A face-related digital design is created, which can be viewed from different angles (design in motion). Before the restoration is fabricated, the dental technician sends a data record of the digital design to IvoSmile for the assessment by the dentist. The design of the restoration is fine-tuned together with the patient on the basis of the imported patient images or a virtual try-in of the mock-up in the digital real-time 3D mirror. Technical process Images including the treatment proposal are sent from IvoSmile to the 3Shape Dental System by 3Shape Communicate or email. The customized digital design is then imported to IvoSmile by means of the IvoSmile add-on and 3Shape Communicate. Next, the restoration is either virtually tried in and viewed in real-time 3D or assessed on the basis of photos in 2D. The IvoSmile add-on for importing images in the 3Shape Dental System The IvoSmile add-on is required for importing images from IvoSmile in the 3Shape Dental System and for sending the customized digital design back to IvoSmile. Trial phase and T&Cs All users will be given the opportunity to try the full features of the app during a free 30-day trial period without any obligation. After the 30-day period, the user may sign up for a subscription (either monthly or annual payment).
