The Ministry of Health and Preventions (MOHAP) is taking unprecedented measures to fight the novel COVID-19 and ensure early health precautions and diagnosis. MOHAP has decided to embark on a journey to launch the ‘Reaya’ application which will provide a holistic view of both confirmed and potential COVID-19 cases. Confirmed case is a person who a confirmed positive COVID-19 Carrier/infected person. Potential case is a person who have identified to be a COVID-19 positive confirmed carrier or reflecting symptoms that indicate a potential infection. Reaya does not provide a self-registration service for COVID-19 confirmed and suspected cases. The list of patients who are entitled for registration will be coming from clinics and hospitals who are running COVID-19 tests in different Emirates. These are Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah. The user registration will include user’s personal information such as Name, Mobile Number, Emirates ID/Passport number. The registered user can login using mobile number as a username(05..,056.. etc.) after receiving the registration SMS from MOHAP. As for the doctor’s registration, the details required include Name, email and Emirates. The registered doctor can login after receiving the registration email. When logged in, the user will be required to perform three actions which include checking-in with home quarantine location and filling the health assessment and mental assessment. Reaya UAE will evaluate your health and mental status and track your quarantine location under the supervision of your doctor using the geofencing technology. The location tracking will be used to ensure that as a COVID-19 confirmed or suspected case; you are being committed to the isolation and quarantine instructions to prevent the outbreak of the pandemic, which is all done with your consent and willingness to help UAE government fight the spread and contain the virus. The quarantine location will be decided by the user himself/herself. Once the user do the check-in with quarantine location. The app will automatically consider this as user’s quarantine location. Once location services is enabled by the user, anytime the user moves outside the checked-In home quarantine location, the doctor who is assigned to supervise user’s case will be notified immediately through Reaya. The doctor will call the case to ask him/her to return back to home quarantine location. The Doctor will also ask the patient to do a check-in with their address to make sure the case is returned to the same home quarantine address. Reaya will provide real-time insights and single dashboard for all registered doctors within Reaya to continuously monitor and track patients health and mental status. The doctor will check the health assessment answers on daily basis for all his/her patients who are assigned under the doctor. Reaya will categories the patients’ health status according to health assessment answers into five groups: Asymptomatic, Mild, Moderate, Severe & Critical. The doctor will reach out to the patient in case of showing any severe or critical symptoms only. For example, if this patient has answered “Yes” to Shortness of breath and “Yes” fever is greater than 38.6 “ then doctor will be notified immediately that this patient has a severe case to take the necessary actions.
