Park Download Roanoke (Park Noke) is a parking application for the city or Roanoke Virginia. It uses GPS data to determine your current location and then provides parking information, sorted by distance, to various parking lots and facilities located in the Roanoke down town area. Using iPhone/iPad devices it can provide turn by turn guidance to the selected parking lot. The app provides constant GPS location overlaid on a map of the area as well as route information to show your path (for back tracking when needed). Parking lots are sorted by distance to your current location and show paid/free status based on time of day and day of the week. Information for a selected parking lot shows name, address, picture (if available) and parking $ rate information. The Parking display shows the current user location, based on GPS data from the iPhone/iPad. Press the Find Parking button to find a set of the nearest parking lots in down town Roanoke. This will generate a list of parking lots in downtown Roanoke sorted by distance to your current position. Select the desired lot for further information and turn by turn guidance. This parking lot list shows a list of the parking lots in down town Roanoke sorted by the closest to your current location. The list includes both the lots provided by CarPark as well as those managed by Park Roanoke,the Hotel Roanoke Towne Park, and other parking firms. Each entry shows the lot name and distance in miles from your current location. The icon on the left shows its availability status based on the current day of week and time of day and identifies the parking provider Selecting a lot from the sorted list will show more information about that lot including: - Parking lot name, address and other information as available. - Picture (if available) of the parking lot as seen from the street. Clicking on the picture will show a larger picture image. - Parking rate cost information based on time of day, length of stay, and for some lots, day of the week. Press the Directions There button to receive turn by turn guidance from your current location to the selected parking lot. This is provided by the Apple Maps system and also includes voice guidance for users with Siri based iPhone 4S/5 and some iPad products. Park Noke includes an Event tab to show coming events for Roanoke as managed by Downtown Roanoke Inc on their web site. Park Noke includes a Weather tab to show current weather conditions based on weather data from www.WeatherBug.com. Park Noke was developed through cooperation with Downtown Roanoke Inc (http://www.downtownroanoke.org), Park Roanoke (http://www.roanokeva.gov), and other local and city offices. Park Noke is designed for Apple iOS 7.x and iPhone4/4S/5/6/6s, iPad, and later devices.
