The new, improved smartphone app from MileageCount is the easiest way to record your business and private journeys. The exciting integration of the innovative iBeacon technology, takes the MileageCount app to new levels of smart technology and efficiency, meaning mileage capture has never been easier, more automated or more reliable (through our software). The iBeacon itself is a small Bluetooth device approximately 3x3x3cm’s, which can be placed anywhere in the car, for example in the centre console or glovebox. Once paired with your phone it requires minimal maintenance or attention, and due to its use of low frequency Bluetooth, the iBeacon will not interfere with other in car devices which utilise Bluetooth. Time consuming paper recording of mileage will be no longer be drains on yours or your workforce’s time. With a quick and simple initial setup, taking as little as two minutes, and a highly user friendly interface you can accurately record journeys using your phone’s internal GPS. Once combined with a registered MileageCount online account, you can easily upload details of your journeys and expenses into your portal at the press of a button for submission to your company for approval. Additionally, the ‘Scheduler’ feature allows the user to set daily parameters to determine when mileage is being recorded via the app. Hence, in a few simple steps, the app will schedule the recording of your business mileage for the working week, thus retaining the user’s privacy by not recording private journeys. Each journey is listed with a date and time along with the miles travelled, and can quickly be categorised as business or private. Ultimately, the MileageCount app removes the stress of maintaining your mileage and expense records. Once set up, the app will automatically record your mileage, and with a few easy steps the user can maintain their complete expense records daily, weekly or monthly. For none MileageCount customers, the app is still available to use in ‘free mode’. This mode gives a simple, and intuitive user experience and is a great taster for what is available in the app. (Please note – iBeacon integration is not available in free mode) To use the app in ‘free mode’: - Download and install the app and in just three simple steps you can record your journeys - Select ‘free mode’ - Press “START” – the mileage travelled on your journey will be recorded - At the end of your journey press “STOP” – the journey mileage will be saved Please note, continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
